Driver Education for Teens & Adults
At Drive Right Academy, we offer comprehensive driver's education programs for:
- High school students getting their first driver's license (ages: 15-17)
- Adult first-time drivers (ages: 18-24)
- Adults who need a refresher course
- Students preparing for their permit exam
- Behind-the-wheel driving instruction

What You'll Learn

October 5th - October 22 Teen Driver's Education Program 15 - 17 Yrs Old
Our teen driver’s education program is in person in two phases. First the classroom instruction and then the behind-the-wheel training. The classroom training is 12 sessions of 2 hours each for a total of 24 hours. After your successful completion of the classroom portion the students receive a DEE-964 certificate, which they take to the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS) to apply for a learner’s permit. After receiving a learner’s permit, the driving portion includes 7 behind-the-wheel sessions, each comprising 1 hour of driving instruction and 1 hour of observation, totaling 14 hours.

Adult Drivers Education Program 18 - 24 Yrs Old
The Adult Driver’s Education Program meets the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR) requirements for individuals aged 18 to 24 wanting to obtain a driver’s license. Our 6-hour course can be completed in a single day and is different than defensive driving courses. Upon successful completion, students will receive a certificate.
